Call Your Shot

Drop a coin by naming a player who fits both the row and the column. Line up four to win.

How it works
  • Two sides take turns. Pick a column, and your coin is headed for its lowest empty cell.
  • 2 to 12 players, split into two sides. When a side has more than one player, they take turns.
  • Name a player who fits that column and that row. The two facts can come from different seasons and teams.
  • Get it right and the coin drops. Miss and the turn passes. Miss 3 without a correct answer and the other side gets a free coin: drop it anywhere, then take your turn as usual.
  • You can name each player once per game. Stuck? Pass. It hands over the turn and doesn’t count as a miss, but only a correct answer clears your misses.
  • Four in a row wins, across, down or diagonal. A full grid with no four is a draw.
  • We leave out header pairs we know have no answer, but some cells are tough, often because the stat came at a different club. That’s what Pass is for.
  • You can add a turn clock. At 0:00 the turn passes, just like a Pass, and it doesn’t count as a miss.
