About MLB games
What MLB boards are built from
MLB boards cover 2000 on. Career boards count a player’s whole career, seasons before 2000 included. Squad Sweep uses this season’s rosters, split into pitchers, catchers, infielders and outfielders.
Rate stats like batting average, OPS and ERA only rank qualified players. Hitters need 3.1 plate appearances per team game and pitchers need one inning per team game. The 2020 season counts as 60 games.

Where to start with MLB games
Baseball keeps better records than any other sport, which makes it the best of the 5 for trivia. These games make the most of that. You get batting and pitching leaderboards from seasons back to 2000, journeyman careers across 4 or 5 franchises, and this season’s rosters.
Questions about MLB games
- Does it cover both batting and pitching?
- Yes. The leaderboard and stat games use both, so one round might ask for home runs and the next for strikeouts.
- Some boards stick to one league or division. Which alignment do they use?
- That season’s, not today’s. For example, Houston counts as a National League club before 2013 and an American League club from 2013 on. You can’t pick the league or division yourself. The board picks it.
