What goes into NFL Squad Sweep boards
NFL boards ask for one of 10 positions: QB, RB, FB, WR, TE, LB, CB, S, DE or DT. Turn on skill positions only and you’ll just get QB, RB, WR and TE.
Old rosters come from nflverse, the open NFL data project, so any season from 1980 on can come up.
A board needs at least 4 players at the position, so you’ll see fullback less often than receiver or linebacker.
Backups and special teamers count the same as starters. On a deep board they’re often the safer pick.
About the data
NFL seasons 1980 to 2025, from ESPN, with nflverse for past NFL rosters.
The stat games start in 1993, when ESPN’s NFL leaderboards fill out.
Stat terms
- TD / Yds:
- touchdowns and yards. Rush, Pass and Rec mean rushing, passing and receiving.
- Fantasy points (PPR):
- 1 per catch, 0.1 per rushing or receiving yard, 6 per rushing or receiving TD, 0.04 per passing yard, 4 per passing TD. Nothing comes off for turnovers.
