Call the Bluff

Bid how many you can name. Get called? Prove it. Each category shows how many answers it has. Take turns raising the bid until someone calls Bluff! Then the top bidder has to type that many before the clock runs out.

How it works
  • A category lands, showing how many valid answers it has.
  • Take turns bidding how many you can name. Each bid must beat the last.
  • On your turn you can call Bluff! instead. The top bidder then has to name that many before the clock runs out.
  • Named them all: the bidder scores 1. Fell short: the caller scores 1.
  • Wrong names cost only time. First to 5 wins.
  • 2–12 players. Play first to 3, 5, 7 or 10, or a set number of rounds with sudden death on a tie.
  • Clocks: a bid clock (at 0:00 your turn counts as a bluff call, or an opening bid of 1 if nobody has bid yet) and a proof clock of a few seconds per name claimed, 20 to 90 seconds in all.
  • Teams on separate devices: a team bids as one. Teammates suggest and the captain locks it in. To prove it, teammates take turns naming one player each, on one clock.
